(RTTNews) – In trading against the sterling on Friday, the Swiss currency saw weakness into the mid morning. The decline brought the currency to a mark of 2.0843 as action progressed. The pair moved as it was announced that UK house prices tumbled in April. A report from the mortgage lender Halifax showed that house prices declined 1.3% month-on-month in April. This comes after a 2.5% fall in March. Year-on-year, the decline in house prices was 0.9% in April, in contrast to a 1.1% rise in March. April’s annual decline is the first since February 1996, when house prices registered a year-on-year slide of 0.8%.
